Blogmas: 8/12/13: Christmas Films!
You need to watch a Christmas film in order to get in the festive spirit! One film that everybody says is their favourite is ... ELF! You cannot fault this film one little bit! It's a Christmas comedy with a completely unique story. "After inadvertently wreaking havoc on the elf community due to his ungainly size, a man raised as an elf at the North Pole is sent to the U.S. in search of his true identity." This pretty much sums the film up in one! If you haven't seen it, you've missed out... go and watch it!
Another film that you need to watch is 'Christmas With The Kranks'. This film is by far one of my favourites... every year when all the decorations are up and it's all cosy in the house, I sit and watch it, snuggled up on the sofa with a blanket and for some reason, a bag of twiglets! One reason why I like this film is because it symbolises and sums up everyone's Christmas... and not always the good sides of Christmas!
"With their daughter away, her parents decide to skip Christmas altogether until she decides to come home, causing an uproar when they have to celebrate the holidays at the last minute." That sums up this film haha! You really need to watch it to understand it! It's one of the funniest Christmas films I've seen!
If you want to watch more of a traditional festive film, with a little less comedy, then you need to watch 'Miracle on 34th Street'. "A little girl discovers dreams do come true if you really believe. Six-year-old Susan has doubts about childhood's most enduring miracle - Santa Claus. Her mother told her the "secret" about Santa a long time ago, so Susan doesn't expect to receive the most important gifts on her Christmas list. But after meeting a special department store Santa who's convinced he's the real thing, Susan is given the most precious gift of all - something to believe in." It's such a nice heart warming film :)
There are so many other films I could list but it would take me forever!
